Mac Davis: Greatest Hits

This is the back cover photo from the Mac Davis: Greatest Hits album. Since training camp started this month, I thought we’d go with a football theme. This album came out in 1980 – the year after Mac made his film acting debut with Nick Nolte in North Dallas Forty. Mac played Seth Maxwell, the Bulls' QB character based loosely on real Cowboys QB "Dandy" Don Meredith. I think Nolte played WR. I recall the funny road hunting scene. Mac’s big (only?) hit was Baby Don’t Get Hooked on Me.

Uriah Heep and Roger Dean album cover art

The band Uriah Heep got their name from that of a fictional character created by Charles Dickens in the David Copperfield novel. This album, a bit water-damaged, is titled Demons and Wizards. The cover art was done by Roger Dean. Early on, Roger Dean formed a partnership with the band Yes - designing the artwork on over 20 Yes albums covers. Dean also created the famous Yes logo in bubble letters. Guess I should have posted a Yes album here. Dean also did the artwork on the Asia record I posted about back in June.
