The Doors - Are still playing live
My brother was in Vegas recently and saw The Doors at the House of Blues - with original members Robby Krieger (guitar, vocals) and Ray Manzarek (keyboards, vocals). This is back cover of the only Doors album I own - the two-record Greatest Hits. Not sure when it was released, but it's in mint condition. I'd have to say I am not their hugest fan - but like many of their songs. The Laurel Canyon book mentions them breifly - but they were over by Venice Beach. I do know the second 45 I ever bought (owned) Love Her Madly. Title link will take you to a clip on Youtube.

Tommy James and the Shondells
On the Roulette Records label - this is one of many "Best of" Tommy James & the Shondells records. Going back to my August 2009 posts which were mostly about Woodstock - I read (on wiki) that the band was invited to play at Woodstock - but they declined. I will go back to Lang's book to confirm that (and also to properly attribute my source). And, as usual, if you click on the title of the post - you will land on a cool youtube video.

The Seekers - Georgy Girl
Hey there...Yes, this is a cool album cover. On the Capital label. A guy selling this on ebay says this is a very rare record. My copy is in excellent condition. I think this record is in mono. Another song on this album is Turn Turn Turn (see my earlier post on The Byrds), and also a cover of the Beatles' Yesterday. For a real kick- click on this post's title. Enjoy!
