Joe Walsh - But Seriously, Folks...

It took me a while to come around and like Joe Walsh's solo work.  I really do now.  And the same goes for his Life's Been Good.  Which was so over-played on the radio my senior year of high school - that I got sick of it.  But I really like that song now.  It ages well.  Of course - the photo above is the inside cover, opened.  I like showing that - rather than the more common front cover that you'd see on a CD on Amazon.  Hey - one of my favorites, Jay Ferguson, plays on this album.  I would love to have any of his record.  Plenty of Eagles also play on this record.  Produced by Joe's go-to guy Bill Szymczyk, on the Asylum Records label.

Gary Puckett & The Union Gap's Greatest Hits

Gary Puckett & The Union Gap's Greatest Hits. On the CBS/Columbia label, released in 1970. I got this record at my local Half Price Book Store - for fifty cents. It still has the cellophane covering on the jacket. This has all their hits on it: Lady Willpower, Young Girl - hence the name of the record. And do not forget to click on the post title for a clip of Woman, Woman.

Cheap Trick - Heaven Tonight

This is another single record album with no gatefold.  I took two photos (one of front cover, one of back) and photo-merged the two picture together so you could see how the album looks in full.  This is Heaven Tonight, Cheap Trick's third album, released in 1978.  The front cover has lead singer Robin Zander and bassist Tom Petersson.  On the back is Bun E. Carlos and Rick Nielsen. Nielsen owns a micro-brewpub in Chicago called Piece (they serve pizza - hence the name).  It's a very cool place in a hip and happening area of the city and is always jammed and serves beer made on-site.  It will be even more packed this week with the national Craftbrewers Convention in Chicago this week.
