Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark
Released in 1974, this is her fourth studio release. Sort of a plain and simple cover - as far as the artwork goes. But that seems to be fine for her. Lots of great musicians play on the record - including Wilton Felder on bass Joe Sample, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Larry Carlton, Wayne Perkins, Robbie Robertson, Jose Feliciano, and even Cheech and Chong even! This is a follow-up post circling back to that great book on the music of Laurel Canyon in the sixties, by Michael Walker. The author read my review and emailed me some nice comments.
