Easy Rider - the movie soundtrack
This is back cover of Easy Rider, the movie soundtrack album. Wow - what great songs! The liner notes tells us The Weight, performed in the movie by The Band, on the record, they had to use a version by a band (person?) called Smith. That was a rights issue. How about Don't Bogart Me, by Fraternity of Man? Besides the anthemic Born to be Wild, Steppenwolf also does The Pusher, written by Hoyt Axton. This record in on the Dunhill (ABC) label. The movie was directed by Dennis Hopper. And Jimi does If Six were Nine. I bought it for fifty cents at the Half Priced Books store near me.

Smith was a band.... Had a few releases in the late 60's early 70's. Pretty good band too!
