The Jacksons - Triumph. This album is great. It was some really great songs on it - like Time Waits for No One, Walk Right Now, and Lovely One. Triumph is from 1980 - the year after Michael made the his epic, smash solo album Off the Wall. Triumph went platinum in the U.S. and peaked at #10 on the Billboard top 200 list. It initially sold over 3 million copies in its original run. The brothers shared many of the vocal and solos on most of this album's songs, but Michael takes most of the lead. Somewhat of the group's "comeback" record, this was their first album to reach number-one on Billboard's R&B album chart since Maybe Tomorrow, from 1971. The Jackson brothers would not release another studio LP for four years after this release of Triumph.
