Blue Note Live at the Roxy. Recorded: June 28, 1976 at the Roxy, Los Angeles, California by Record Plant Remote Unit. And Donald Byrd "Places And Spaces" and "(Fallin' Like) Dominoe's" Donald Byrd recorded live in Central Park, New York, N.Y. This is a review from a buyer on Amazon which I will use as sort of an anonymous guest post: "I picked up a used copy of this album on vinyl and had high expectations of some classic Jazz jamming. It's more of a 70s jazz/funk/soul sort of fusion. The recording is nothing to brag about and the quality of the vinyl was average at best. The worst thing by far is that the entire album appears to be an advertisement for Blue Note. It starts and ends with some silly jingle and a solid 10 minutes of the recording is nothing but talking. Apparently someone got an award or a commendation and they presented it during the live taping. It's not what I expected from such a classic label. Very disappointing."
