Isaac Hayes: Don't Let Go

Isaac Hayes: Don't Let Go.  Gosh - I had forgotten about this song.  I knew it very well - and I heard it on an urban soul oldies FM station a few weeks ago.  It's the title track from this record.  At 7 minutes, 16 seconds...it's a fun and not complex song.  The live version (click on this post's title) is a bit too fast.  The studio version is at a much better pace.  I studied the album cover and liner notes and did not see any musician or technician that I recognized.  I need to look up who's in the Atlanta Horns section.  I think Frankie Moates is in it.  It was recorded at North Star studios.  Don't Let Go was written by the great Jesse Stone.  And the late, great Ahmet Ertegun once stated that "Jesse Stone did more to develop the basic rock 'n' roll sound than anybody else."  For fun - also try the version of the song by the  Jerry Garcia Band doing Don't Let Go.  What a song - and look up this cat Jesse Stone.  Which is shown here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fR6SKLE8nZM&feature=related
