Not Rush, not Big Time Rush, but Frank Marino and Mahogany RUSH!

As we know - the real Rush just got into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (about time).  And I have no idea who or what Big Time Rush is.  But this is a record by Frank Marino and Mahogany RUSH!   Their album called What's Next.  What's Next is an album by Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, released in 1980, under Columbia Records.  The bonus live tracks of the CD edition were recorded in Salinas, California, during the Juggernaut tour of 1983.  It was recorded at Tempo Studios, in Montreal - where other notable Canadian rock bands made records - such as Stand Back, by April Wine.  I find this entry a bit or a reach:  "Francesco Antonio "Frank" Marino (born November 20, 1954, in Montreal) is the guitarist and leader of Canadian hard rock band Mahogany Rush.  Often compared to Jimi Hendrix, he is acknowledged as one of the best and most underrated guitarists of the 1970s."  Jimi?  Really?

  1. As I recall, Frank Marino has a harder edge blues style and Hendrix a more fluid blues style. I'm expert, but that is my recollection of the two...

  2. Big Time Rush is a made for tv boy band on the Nickelodeon channel. Kinda like the Monkees but no instruments.
