This is the inside gatefold of the Backless album. It came out after Slowhand and was the last one of a series of his solo records released in the seventies. I am re-reading his autobiography and enjoying the book all over again. There is a gem called Tell Me That You Love Me, the last song on side one. Click on this post's title for a listen. He really loved the band he assembled for these seventies solo records, even calling Carl Radle and Jimmy Gordon the finest rythm section he's ever played with. In the book, even saying Jim Gordon is the greatest rock n roll drummer who ever lived, quote unquote. Considering the source, I can't think of higher praise. And below is the familar front cover too.
Yeah! Clapton is the most influence to me (my nick name is on his honour). I came to your blog look for southern rock gems...but I´m glad to be agree with you: "Tell me that you love me is a fine and special song that I imagined Eric playin' during this cover sessions fhotos.
