Year of the Cat - Al Stewart

This Scotsman rocks. It may be widely known this record was produced by Alan Parsons. It is a gem - just played it recently. You probably owned it.  A college pal of mine, Bill Gallas, would paly this record during a "session." Most other guys would moan and say it was too pop, lame, or wimpy - but after hearing it, we'd agree that it just sounds great.  Bill, if you're out there - we'd love to hear from you.  The liner notes remind us this album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, London.   Marion Driscoll is listed as playing triangle. That's all, just triangle.  What a cool album credit.  Do not forget On the Border is also on this record.  Click on the title of this post to see and hear Al sing and play On the Border, on a YouTube clip.

  1. The lead guitarist really made that video.

Time Passages was always one of my faves!
