James Taylor - and my pal Radio Dave

My good pal Radio Dave is featuring songs by James Taylor tomorrow (Wed. April 21) on his live radio show called Radio Dave's Liner Notes on WSLR broadcasting out of Sarasota, FL. I listen to his show on my PC using Winamp player. http://wslr.org/listen-live/  Dave's show is on Wednesdays, from 11:00am-1:00pm EST.  Radio Dave's Liner Notes show celebrates "the stories and myths about songs you can sing along with. It's all about rock & roll's greatest hits along with the stories about them that you might not have heard before."  A true radio pro now afilliated with this community radio station, Dave is a veritable font of infomation, tid bits, and back stories about the songs, bands, and records we all love.  Radio Dave's "groove yard" contains tons of songs and on his popular show, Dave weaves in the stories behind the records, including playing rare recordings and making musical connections between artists.  Radio Dave is also well-known his immense collection of "answer songs" that you just won't hear anywhere else.  The genesis of Dave's show dates back to Radio Dave's Sunday night Soundscope broadcasts in the late 1960s on WXYZ-FM (later WRIF-FM) in Detroit and the mid-1980s series, Rare & Scratchy Rock 'N Roll, that was syndicated on more than 130 radio stations coast-to-coast.  Keep on rockin' Dave!  We are your fans!

  1. ANOTHER outstanding video clip: Waddy Wachtel, Leland Sklar, Russ Kunkel -- the best backup a musician can have!

  2. Glad you like the clip UN. I think those guys also backed up Jackson Browne. And - Radio Dave is totally cool too!
