Tavares - Hard Core Poety

This is the back cover of Tavares 2, called Hard Core Poety.  They do a great cover of Hall & Oates' She's Gone.  Tavares is made up of five brothers.  Some true giants are involved in the record - Michael Omartian, Larry Calton, and Wilton Felder.  Omartian has been involved in one way or another on over 350,000 records.  Felder, a Texan, plays electric bass and, on many other records, the saxophone.  The Tavares family (New Bedford, MA) heritage flows from The Republic of Cape Verde, a tiny island country atop an archipelago of the central Atlantic Ocean, off the western coast of Africa, near Mauritania and Senegal.
