Three Dog Night: Featured Artist on Liner Notes

The music of Three Dog Night is featured today on Radio Dave's Liner Notes radio show.  Radio Dave is a great friend (hey - he gives me old records!) and his weekly show is broadcast live on WSLR, LPFM 96.5, "Sarasota’s Community Radio Station."  To listen on your computer, the station recommends the WinAmp player, download free http://www.winamp.com/  So I am posting two Three Dog Night records today.  Above is either Cyan or ________ (a litte help please).  And below is It Ain't Easy, from 1970.

From WSLR's home page, http://wslr.org/ Dave tells us...Three Dog Night had 22 Billboard Charted hits between 1969 and 1975 as one of the top superstar acts of that time period, and you’ll hear them all on the Roctober 27 edition of Liner Notes with Radio Dave. 11AM to 1PM (EST) on WSLR-LPFM.  In addition to Three Dog Night’s complete hit discography, Radio Dave also will tell the seldom heard tales behind the music as he does on every “Liner Notes” program.  For instance, there is the Three Dog Night connection with the hit television cartoon show, The Flintstones, and then how the Three Dog Night recycled a depression-era hit originally recorded in 1933 by famed big band leader Ted Lewis and turned it into a rock and roll classic as their first Top 30 hit in 1969…..Radio Dave dug deep into his “groove yard” (which has more 33s, 45s, 78s, wax cylinders, CDs, and MP3 downloads than you do) so you can hear that original version along with the Three Dog Night re-make. And of course, while most everyone knows how Three Dog Night got their name, there is a little known story behind that story because of the Three Dog Night’s special connection with the Beach Boys…..tune in to find out all about that……and much, much more!
