No, Pat Travers is not related to Mary Travers, late of Peter, Paul & Mary - I think. But here is what I just read about him: Patrick Henry "Pat" Travers (born April 12, 1954) is a Canadian rock guitarist, keyboardist and singer who began his recording career with Polydor Records in the mid-1970s. Pat Thrall, Nicko McBrain, Mick Dyche, Tommy Aldridge, Peter "Mars" Cowling, Jerry Riggs, and Carmine Appice are some of the noted musicians who have been members of the Pat Travers Band through the years. Kirk Hammett of Metallica has cited him as one of his favorite guitar players. The album on the left is called Crash And Burn, from 1980. Crash And Burn was the Pat Travers Band's highest-charting release, peaking at number 20 on the Billboard Magazine album chart. The album featured the single "Snortin' Whiskey", co-written by Travers and fellow band member guitarist Pat Thrall. This song became a significant hit on American FM radio in 1980. The one on the right is titled Black Pearl. Source: Wikipedia.
