Neil Young tribute - by special request

One of my long-ago and dear pals from way back in grade school, Sara, is a Neil Young fan, so I told her I would post photos here of some of my Neil Young albums.  Another pal of mine, Michael, who works down the hall from me, is also a huge Neil Young fan.  I have been after Michael for a while to write a Guest Post for me here on Neil Young, since he is such an expert and has seen Neil in concert a few dozen times.  The albums shown here are: On the Beach (above), After the Gold Rush, (below), and Everybody Know this is Nowhere (bottom).

  1. Of the three albums, I like "Everybody Knows this is Nowhere" the best. Cinnamon Girl, Down by the River, Cowgirl in the Sand, and the title track are all great songs. But all three have great album art!

  2. Spence - first off - thank you for being such a loyal reader, follower, and commentator here! He's nowhere near my top all time favorite singer/songwriters, (he's too deep and spotty for me), but I totally "get" him and also "get" why so many appreciate his work and talents.

  3. & of course the signature look of 'Harvest' Thanks for these cool shots. Just was listening to his song Powderfinger, great lyrics & story. I'm with the Neil Young tribute band The Neil Deal www.neildeal.com and it amazes me at how many really serious fans he has, such a prolific songwriter & such a wide variety of styles. Thanks for the history peek !! Bruce

  4. We went to see Neil Young last night, in a solo concert. It was wonderful! He looks great, sounds great, and played all alone. tickets were something positive. He played the organ, pump organ, piano, harmonica, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar.
