More Cow Bell. I need more Cow Bell! And a birthday shout out to Wendy

This is birthday blog post today for a friend of mine.  I don't know this for sure - but something tells me today's birthday girl (happy birthday, Wendy!) was a Blue Oyster Cult fan back in high school - and likely still today.  And this really should be a Robin Trower record today in her honor - because that guy is her all-time favorite heavy rocker.  But I don't have a draft of a Trower album in my post queue.   Many of you know this record - but likely have not see the inside cover - shown above.   When I buy these used, I always expect to see some dried greenish "oregano" dust in the crease.  Ha.  This of course is Agents of Fortune is the fourth studio album by the American hard rock band Blue Öyster Cult, originally released in a gatefold sleeve LP (shown above) in 1976 through Columbia Records.  The platinum selling album peaked at No. 29 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart, while the single "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" peaked at No. 12 on the Pop Singles chart,  making it Blue Öyster Cult's biggest hit.  They were not the kind of band that really wanted hits though.  BOC also became a larger concert attraction at this time based largely on not only their fierce  stageshow, but aided by the airplay of "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" which to this day is a staple of FM rock station playlists. Concert venues became larger, the show became more intricate and BÖC was reaching its financial peak on the tour circuit.
